Description
This collection consists of ephemera relating to the activities of the Watertown 375th Celebration Committee. It includes Town of Watertown 375th Celebration Committee letterhead, envelopes, and brochures; flyers for events like "Watertown Weekend" (October 22 and 23, 2005), "Walk around the Hometown Block" (June 18, 2005), and an "Architectural Bike Tour of Watertown Houses" sponsored by the Watertown Community Foundation and the 375th Committee; a "375 Years of History" town map illustrated by Marilynne Roach; an article from the Watertown Savings Bank newsletter; a copy of the booklet Celebrate Watertown: 375 Years and Counting!. There are also pinback buttons, a miniature flag, a ceramic trivet with the town seal, and other small ephemera.
Biographical or Historical Data
The Town of Watertown 375th Celebration Committee was assembled to plan and promote a celebration of the 375th anniversary of Watertown's founding by English settlers in 1630. Lucia Mastrangelo and E. Joyce Munger served as co-chairs of the Committee.
